Following the Letter or the Spirit? | The Thirteenth Anglican Bishop of Jerusalem Ria Abu-El-Assal

The thirteenth Anglican Bishop of Jerusalem and head of the Episcopal Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East, Ria Abu El-Assal, was one of the speakers at the world conference “Creative Society. What the Prophets Dreamed of” which took place on March 20, 2021. In his speech, he addressed everyone listening and said that God is beyond religion, beyond religious institutions. God is the inner of every person’s being. He loves us all equally, regardless of where we live and what religion we profess. We need to adhere to the Spirit, not the letter which kills.

Institutional religions have done a lot for wars in human history. Jesus Christ, on the other hand, spoke of the value of each person’s life and this is the basis of a Creative Society. His Lordship Ria Abu-El Assal urged everyone to unite on the finest things that are in everyone and build a Creative Society.

The international conference “Creative Society. What the Prophets Dreamed of” became a unique event in the history of our civilization. People from all over the world were able to watch and listen to it in more than 45 languages. For the first time, the truth that God is one and the Truth is one for all was publicly declared.
