GOOGLE GENERATION

Mercy is that you have TVs and supermarkets instead of crematoriums. And truth is that they have the same function.
V. Pelevin “Generation P”
Vast majority of people on Earth, having basic Internet skills, is familiar with the Google search engine. In this article we would like to talk about some moments connected with the topic.
A little history from Wikipedia (one of the brainchild of Google):
The Google search engine was created as an educational project of the students Larry Page and Sergey Brin from Stanford University. In 1996 they were working on the BackRub search engine and in 1998 on its basis they created a new one called Google…Corporation was established on September, 2nd, 1998. For the first time, Google faced problems in connection with the violation of human rights back in 2005… In addition, in 2010 it became known that while working on the Street View service, Google scanned the IP addresses and passwords of citizens. During the filming of streets and squares of different cities from special cars equipped with video cameras, Google experts were also engaged in scanning the signal of wireless WI-FI networks. As a result, the company received passwords and other confidential information necessary to enter the email of private and legal entities … In 2012 Google issued the data of several WikiLeaks workers to the US authorities: the contents of mailings, metadata, information about subscriptions and other data, and only after 2.5 years notified users about it … In connection with such a policy of Google, the Chinese leadership even tries to restrict the access of Chinese citizens to information on the Internet.
To date, the situation is that for many people Google has become the only source of information. It’s very sad. Why?
1) Excessive trust in information from search engines makes it impossible for a person to receive truthful information. The reason is that behind all servers are certain circles that use their domain right for their own purposes. These goals are not always humane.
2) A person is lazy to get knowledge and to study science, literature and so on, because he can find information from any smartphone or tablet in a few seconds. He does not study, educate himself, enrich and replenish his knowledge. He simply gets the finished result from the computer becoming the same computer himself. By the way, the result of the search itself is quickly forgotten. People almost don’t train their memory.
3) Reading books, studying, contemplating, analyzing information intellectually develop a person and it’s hard to tell lie or misinform such a person, since such a person has tuned his mind to analyze incoming information.
The Internet, in general, represents a complex interconnection with the world but… through different root (base) servers belonging to certain “authoritative” organisations and people who fund them secretly or openly. All this is based on the distribution of this or that ideology. By the way, such a notion as a “domain name”, which is today known to any “resident” of the Internet, comes from the Latin word “dominium” meaning “possession.” As a rule, an Internet user does not stop and think about all this, diving into the stream of information provided for him to choose from. He sees details, but he does not see the whole picture, though he should.
From the book “AllatRa”
I remember a living example of communication with one of the participants of International Public Movement “ALLATRA”. Few years ago we were talking about Lillit. She told a lot of interesting information. So, recently remembering that talk, she mentioned: “I was searching for an information about Lillit the other day in order to share with a friend, but was shocked with the fact that those data, i was able to find earlier, were no longer there. I couldn’t find anything on the topic. It seems like someone has intentionally deleted all the information”.
(Basically, it was a positive information about Lillit as a Goddess initially. However, now she is mentioned only as the first wife of Adam or as an evil demon).
The question is, who can download information in the Internet and who can delete it from there or change? Here the understanding has come as for why the fires in the large libraries occur so often. Starting from a famous fire in the Library of Alexandria and ending with the recent major fires in the libraries of New York City and Saint-Petersburg. After all, unnecessary information will not be erased from a book as easily as from internet. A page will not be torn out. No one can erase what was written. That’s why in order to remove all traces it is easier to burn. Everything is much simpler in the internet. Sure, what has been said is not directly connected to the topic of our article. However, the question of who replenishes the information database is relevant.
As for our humble opinion, the saddest thing in all the story is that nowadays the “Google generation is being formed, and it is so far from life, this generation can be programmed as robots, which prefers to investigate and understand life from the screens of smartphones, tablets, laptops …This is a sad fact. Modern youngsters can learn from Google a very wide range of diverse information, but there is an exception. What about the incomparable odour of the book? What about reading books loud among family members by the fireplace? What about the search for information little by little, when you are, like a gold digger, stubbornly striving for knowledge?
What’s the solution for that? Life is given to us temporary and this world is just an illusory reflection of Reality. Only kids can accept a toy as something real. However, people either are too attracted to the toy or dismissively break it and throw away afterwards. We should avoid extremes in this life, because they disrupt inner balance.
Today many people naively assume that Google makes the work on self-education easier. Why do we need to waste our time on reading books and scientific works, when it is enough to google a question and in few seconds we will get a ready answer? People who prefer to find answers themselves and not be satisfied with the information from the Internet, should think about the reliability of facts there. Sure, the network has a lot of diverse and useful information. Internet also contains a lot of reliable and trustworthy facts, even more than official mass media does, but no one should forget that Internet, as well as TV was created as an instrument of mass zombification, only more extended and improved. The amount of information negatively affecting a human being is much greater in it than that, which helps to reveal the inner potential of a person. Although we repeat, it has useful information as well. However, in order to find something really good and helpful among the amount of meaningless and entertaining information, one should at least know what to search for.
The lack of brain activity and the propensity for primitive thinking is the price the “Google” generation has to pay for a package of ready answers and solutions. Such an inconspicuous degradation is quite real if a human being takes a passive position towards consumable information.
Academician N.P. Bekhterev describes in details the consequences of the “brain laziness”:
“In the Human Brain Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences we have been studying the brain organization of creativity for the past 5 years. The volunteers of the experiments are given special tests of different complexity (for example, to compose a story from related and unrelated words within the meaning), and using EEG and PET we are observing what is going on in the brain at the moment. It turns out that the creative activity involves almost the entire brain, includes areas related to a variety of processes, such as memory, emotions, creativity itself and many more.
… When such a “non-stereotypical activity” occurs, brain operates at full capacity and lives a full life. Brain, as any other organs, needs to work, even children’s brain not having received enough quantity of stressors, may not be developed properly. If a human being has spent his life in a “stereotypical situation”, such as sweeping the streets, standing behind the conveyor, in short, has stayed a routine course without trying to compensate inactivity of the brain, then in the old age a person can no longer easily learn a foreign language and will have serious memory difficulties and much more. On the contrary, the one who has been engaged in mental work all life long, keeps the brain active and sharp until old age, although memory may not be as acute as in 20-30 years.
The main thing is different. While resolving super-tasks new connections may be formed in the brain of even a middle-aged man, and, apparently, new neurons are being formed – nerve cells! The emerging neural networks start working and supporting not only a good intellectual condition, but also affecting many processes in the body. The working brain will cope better even with the consequences of a stroke.
Super-tasks are useful for a human brain, they are even vital. Compare a city where people live, the infrastructure operates, the lights are on, and an abandoned village where there are a few old people who are living out their days. So, a human brain, which doesn’t resolve complicated tasks and isn’t engaged in creative activity, is that abandoned village”.
The goal is not to tell our readers that using search engines is bad. In fact, the existence of such systems and their usage in a proper way opens great opportunities. For instance, writing articles or gathering information on a project is significantly accelerated and simplified. It is very helpful and important. In fact, Internet is the most efficient and extensive instrument for the fastest dissemination of the Primordial Knowledge among the humankind. This instrument should be used for the benefit of humanity. What is the most useful thing today for all the people on Earth? As for us, it is to connect with the Primordial Knowledge as soon as possible thanks to which everyone can find out who he really is, and what the main purpose of existence on Earth is!
Therefore, if every person can answer these questions, many problems will disappear in the society. This fact significantly increases the chances of our civilization survival during the era of global cataclysms, as the Primordial Knowledge contains information on how to resolve our common problems together.
History has taught us that lack of unification of human society on the spiritual and moral basis and joint actions of people on the planet, continent, and region regarding preparations for large-scale cataclysms and disasters result in the destruction of most of these people. And survivors die of incurable diseases, epidemics, and self-destruction in wars and civil strife in the struggle for means of sustenance. As a rule, disasters appear suddenly, causing chaos and panic. Only advance preparation and unity of the peoples of the world before the impending natural danger gives mankind more chances of survival and the possibility to jointly overcome the difficulties in the era of global climate change of the planet.
