Signs and Their Influence

Every person, on a daily basis, whether consciously or unconsciously, in one way or another, exerts influence on people who surround him. But to a greater extent, he himself is an object of multilateral influence which predisposes him to one or another personal choice. The consequence of such influence is alteration of one’s views, notions, intentions, judgements, mindsets, and motives (that is, of a certain way of thinking), and therefore alteration of behaviour, deeds, and actions of a given person. Why in psychological science is so much attention paid to the issue of influence on a human being, why are new effective psychotechniques of influence explored and invented? Why is this attributed to a system-forming category that in many aspects determines the targeted prospect, meaning, the search for laws to manage all sorts of human activity and various human psychic phenomena? And why do psychologists in the world scientific community, inventing and introducing all this into practice of other experts in occupations of the “person-to-person” system (managers, physicians, educators, psychotherapists, businessmen, politicians, experts in trade, advertising, and so on), later on hastily begin to invent methods of protection against destructive influences and manipulative impact, and to arm addressees (recipients) of negative influence with them?

The thing is that every day people undergo a massive attack, active influence of their Animal nature, and a considerable majority considers this to be, although painful, but still “life”, not even suspecting that their Spiritual nature exists. However, there is this constant discord between what a person thinks and what he actually feels. It’s just that the patterns of thinking and endless illusions of material desires, which are imposed by the system, prevent him from analysing the nature of his thoughts more carefully and from understanding the source of his deep inner feelings. A human being temporarily resides in the material system which, one way or another, endeavours to block for him any approaches to his Spiritual nature, to draw him into an illusion of oblivion even of the fact that he once knew about his inner spiritual world. This material system tries to do everything possible so that a person wouldn’t abandon endless desires and would serve as its conductor in the society till his very death. But it’s up to the person himself and the society as a whole to change themselves in such a perception of “reality” and to live by values of the spiritual world.

So, why in the society now, even in psychological science which should ideally serve to promote spiritual foundations of a human being and development of his or her best personal qualities, is there such a negative accent, a seizure of many people’s attention by the desire to manipulate others? Just because many things in this science are considered from the perspective of a material way of thinking, in other words, the Animal nature is studied from the perspective of the Animal nature. A paradox! It’s quite predictable that people, receiving such a psychological “assistance”, instead of real radical self-change in the spiritual aspect, start adjusting their crown of Megalomania on their heads (and some even try to nail it with manipulative technologies and to cement it with the Animal-nature way of thinking). No wonder that after all these treatments, the suffering of a person doesn’t diminish, and he still doesn’t get the long-awaited spiritual liberation from burdens of the invisible pressure by the material world. After all, this entire material system operates in order to ensure that a human being would become a subpersonality.

Why are so many people interested in manipulative technologies for the purpose of seizing power or gaining covert influence over other people just like them? Everything is simple: they allow the entry of thoughts from the Animal nature into their consciousness and focus attention on those, therefore laws of the material world and the manipulative aggressive system of the Animal mind get activated: either to suppress and subordinate, or to resist and fight for domination over somebody. This system of the Animal mind forces people to conflict with each other, to build a consumer society, to serve as robotized conductors of the Animal mind’s will during their lifetime.

In psychology works, one can encounter information that the instinct of subordination is embedded in a human being at the genetic level, that a human being subconsciously aspires to find someone in the external world who would give him confidence in safety. But, if human psychology is considered one-sidedly, only from the perspective of the Animal nature Observer, a very important point gets missed: from where such a desire arises in a person at the unconscious level. The thing is that the sources of such an aspiration are within a person’s inner world. This desire arises from the Spiritual nature, since confidence in safety from the aggressive material world, from death of matter, exists only in the spiritual world ― in that world for which a person’s soul is striving, and where the Personality is subconsciously drawn. If a person engages in his spiritual development, then sooner or later he reaches such awareness. He finds this support in his inner spiritual world, he finds the true reality in which he feels eternal primordial peace as well as the illusiveness of the temporary material world. He finds a key to this safety in a deep personal “dialogue” with God through feelings, without any external mediators. Such understanding may be found not just in those who truly follow their spiritual path nowadays, but also in the treatises by those who achieved high levels of spirituality in ancient times.

By the way, such awareness of internal spiritual processes by a person often takes place regardless of religious views or a lack thereof. Any religion, as a part of the material system, considers many spiritual aspects from the perspective of a material way of thinking. Otherwise religion as such wouldn’t implant into consciousness of the masses a pattern of necessity to obey authorities, meaning, it wouldn’t divert people to search for an external support instead of self-directed formation of their own internal one, and there wouldn’t exist its system of hierarchies, power and subordination, of control of people by means of their fear. Moreover, in the society, the subject of the soul, of the human spiritual world would not be considered a privilege of some religion, and even the very word “soul” wouldn’t provoke such a rejection and caution in a person. The latter exists in the present-day world community owing to the typical stereotyped thinking of average people in clichés of the material system. Even in the remote antiquity, it was already known that a human being is much more than matter. He can choose between the will of the Spiritual world and the will of the Animal world, and he can be truly free from the Animal mind system inside himself. Everything that predominates in a person’s inner world is always reflected in the external, too.

Despite the fact that an ordinary person most often evaluates himself and the incoming information from the perspective of the 3D dimension (as an Observer of the material world) in which his body resides, to a much greater extent, he’s exposed to influence of the invisible world, of that which lies beyond the manifestation of visible three-dimensionality and which forms it. Suffice it to look what people live by:

― by thoughts which they don’t see, not understanding where they appear from, and whose information programs they serve as; however, a majority of people consider them to be “their own”;

― by imposed patterns of the society which, to a greater extent, have a psychological programmed binding than a substantial basis;

― by subconscious directives, fears, forebodings, which have a direct link to the invisible world and exert active influence at the level of human subconsciousness.

This is exactly the invisible world in which a person resides throughout his lifetime, not understanding its true nature, hesitating in his choice of one or another will or information. And this makes up 90% of the person’s life, if it’s compared with that insignificant percentage of the tangible material world (a tiny part of the three-dimensional dimension, if planetary and cosmic scales are taken into account) in which, as it seems to the person, he lives. The remaining 10% go towards the person’s care for survival of his physical body in the material world.

Subconsciousness still remains an unknown mystery for humanity. This field is only being explored and conceals in itself quite a few surprises. However, as practice shows, everything depends on from which Observer, meaning, with which dominant in consciousness and for which purpose all these processes are studied: from the Observer of one’s Spiritual nature or from the Observer of one’s Animal nature. After all, the former one will lead to discoveries in the field of self-exploration and to opportunities in improvement of the life of the entire society, while the latter will lead to development of manipulative technologies of influence from the invisible world, to fragmentation and self-destruction of the society. The difference here is enormous, and the result of the studies will invariably affect future generations.

One of the ancient tools of active influence on human subconsciousness, which has a direct link to the invisible world, are ancient signs. Signs have existed in human society as far back as the Palaeolithic times. There is various evidence of this, beginning with drawings of ancient people and up to extant artefacts with signs on them. In order to realise the scale of signs dissemination in different parts of the world and in different epochs, as well as their sacred importance to many peoples, suffice it to familiarize oneself with archaeological and ethnological data.

Among all signs, we can mark out a group of certain signs that ancient people reproduced with enviable persistence, regardless of their place of residence on different continents. Moreover, these same signs are actively used in the modern world too, although they are presented for the masses in various semantic interpretations that satisfy superficial curiosity of the majority. However, only few people know what is actually concealed behind some not just ancient informational symbols, but active working signs, and why they exert direct influence on any person’s subconsciousness.

It is possible to experimentally discover how effectively signs affect people’s subconsciousness (and, consequently, their mood and line of thoughts). I will describe a secret experiment that was carried out in a private capacity. Its purpose was to evaluate the degree of influence of the active signs well-known since ancient times on people’s standard and non-standard communicative behaviour, and identification of patterns and peculiarities of communicative behaviour of groups.

In this research, 58 students were involved, who for convenience were split into two streams ― А and B. There were 7 groups in each stream: 5 experimental ones ― 3 groups of 5 persons each and 2 groups of 3 persons each, and 2 control groups ― one group of 5 people and one of 3 people. According to the official version, which was given to the students who volunteered to participate in the experiment, the experiment goal was as follows. In the groups of Stream A, it was, through situational analysis, to identify the most united, friendly and well-organised group, evaluate the quality of joint brainstorming session and the efficiency of decisions made by the group. The goal for the Stream B was, through situational analysis, to identify the most talented and promising leader who would be able to organise and head the given group, to evaluate his reasoning, the efficiency of his decisions, and the factors that influence his choice of decisions. The students were motivated by a relevant social reward intended for the best participants and the winning group – trip vouchers to participate in an interregional scientific and practical conference.

The experiment was always conducted in the same auditorium, where there was a computer with access to the internet, a colour printer, and materials necessary for fulfilling a corresponding assignment – identical for all the groups (drawing of a joint themed collage on whatman paper). In the auditorium, an observation video camera was placed, the presence of which was emphasized for the participants’ attention before the start of the experiment. The students were provided with an opportunity to communicate on their own in the absence of the persons who controlled the experiment. The groups’ task was to complete a certain assignment together within a limited time (one hour). Namely, to find photographs relevant to the assignment on the internet, to print them out on the colour printer, to cut out and to compose an associative themed collage of those photographs on a big sheet of paper (А1 format). At that, for the purpose of enhancing the efficiency of the group’s joint actions and solution of the set tasks, when necessary, anyone could present a red card to any participant of the group, who in his or her opinion hampered achievement of the set goals. In case of victory, a participant who would get such cards was to be deprived of the right to get the trip voucher for participation in the interregional scientific and practical conference.

All the groups that participated in the experiment were under the same conditions and fulfilled an identical assignment on one and the same subject. The only difference was that, unnoticeably for the experimental groups of Stream A, simple abstract drawings were placed in advance on two opposite walls of the auditorium, in the ornament of which a sign known since ancient times and negatively affecting human subconsciousness was inscribed. Whereas, for the experimental groups of Stream B, other abstract drawings were placed in the same way, but already with an ornament in which a sign positively influencing human psyche was inscribed. In the control groups in each stream, there were no corresponding drawings with a sign on the auditorium walls.

The results of this experiment shocked even the experts engaged in studies of issues of personal, interpersonal and mass communication psychology, who were invited to observe this experiment and had put forward their preliminary forecasts regarding the behaviour of students in these groups. Contrary to the regularities of psychology and trite logic, while fulfilling the assignment, instead of expected unification, a considerable majority of the participants of the experimental groups in Stream A began to fight for leadership, escalate psychological tension in the group, manifest expressed egocentrism in various situations, quarrel with each other while defending their viewpoints, and groundlessly present red cards to their teammates. In one of the groups, urgent interference of the persons who were controlling the course of the experiment via the video camera was even required, since a quarrel between the students took such an aggressive turn that there was a danger of a physical fight and mutual physical injury.

A completely opposite situation was observed in the experimental groups of Stream B, that is, where according to the forecasts there should have been a fight for leadership in the team. Instead of this, an increased level of empathy (an ability to identify oneself with another person in the process of communication with him or her, to feel what he or she is feeling) was observed, and there was a lot of humour and laughter among the experiment participants. There were no conflict-generating words in their speech. None of the participants of these groups used a red card to mark their teammates. A considerable majority of the participants united in joint fulfilment of the assignment, joked and basically worked harmoniously as one team, helping each other.

In the control groups of both categories, the participants behaved in accordance with the preliminary forecast of the experts who were observing the course of the experiment. Moreover, in the control groups of Stream A, the participants tried to demonstrate artificial, to a large extent, simulated solidarity of their group. Whereas in the control groups of Stream B, many participants began to openly fight for leadership, defending their viewpoints, manifested egoism and aspiration for superiority, ignored the opinion of their team, actively used manipulative methods, and removed their competitors by means of a red card.

The conducted experiment has fully confirmed what people knew even in the remote antiquity and what priestly organisations have been using at all times. Signs indeed exert a certain influence on human psyche! Moreover, the bigger the group, the stronger the sign’s impact. The presence of a provoking moment or a situation that launches anxiety and switches on concentration of a person’s attention on the process and the information he’s receiving serves as a starting mechanism for this. The mechanism of influence of these signs on human subconsciousness is still unexplored in the context of official psychological science. However, the correlation with personality’s individual psychological particularities, with his or her subconscious directives and aspirations, inclination and daily habit to serve as a conductor of certain programs or powers, is already quite obvious to psychologists as well.

In consciousness of many contemporary people, there is a pattern of expectation of what the authorities, who have been popularized by the system, will say on one or another spiritual issue of their concern, whether it is a scientific field, religion, philosophy, etc. But at times they forget that authorities are the same humans as everyone, who are only trying to figure themselves and people out, finding their way by touch in reasoning from the mind in the areas where a depth of feelings and an experience of spiritual practices are required. All major spiritual knowledge, which enabled a human being to really liberate oneself from the Animal mind system, has existed since remote antiquity. And many people spiritually liberated themselves despite the influence exerted upon them via signs, techniques, manipulative technologies, diverse suggestions, and pressure of the material world. If a person has set for himself a life goal to liberate himself spiritually, and if this is his overriding desire and firm choice, nothing will be an obstacle for him, because the main source of spiritual power, the main support is inside him. It awakens the reality of the spiritual world in him, before which the entire material world is powerless.

“The human psyche clearly picks this influence of signs through the subconscious because the structure of the psyche is based on the unconscious. In this case, consciousness has a subordinate function. And signs influence, let us put it this way, the archetypal component of an individual’s psyche. Their effect is based on the individual’s predisposition to unconscious suggestion.”

“Many people, when they go to a religious temple of the denomination which they consider themselves to be a part of, practically do not notice what signs and symbols surround them and for what purpose they are placed there. But a person definitely feels their work by his state. It is just that, given the fact that no one discloses the true purpose of such signs to him, it is natural that a person will not even try to understand” his “compulsive” psychological state. He considers such a state to be natural because he has repeatedly experienced it while attending similar institutions.

And if one looks carefully, in such places one can see a variety of signs activating the Spiritual nature in man, aspiration for God, as well as the Animal nature, through awakening subconscious fears. Very often in cultish and religious institutions, there are many more signs which negatively affect the human psyche than those that stimulate development and strengthening of the Spiritual nature in person. Why? It is all about the goals and objectives, namely manipulation techniques, of one or another religion – practice which has been inherited from religions of the past and perfected over centuries.
