On the Problems and Consequences of Global Climate Change on Earth. Effective Ways to Solve These Problems

The report “On the Problems and Consequences of Global Climate Change on Earth. Effective Ways to Solve These Problems” was read out by Kristina...

We are all human beings, and all of us have the same place of living ‒ the Earth, one nationality – mankind, one common value – life, thanks to which we can worthily attain self-fulfilment and the meaning of our existence in the highest spiritual and moral aspect.

Today it is difficult not to see the impending events, showing that the Earth is entering an active phase of global natural disasters. Almost in every corner of our planet natural disasters and anomalies are occurring, and they are gaining momentum, speed, and frequency, requiring the adequate and timely response to what is happening. Therefore, the most effective and versatile response in the prevailing conditions – is the unity of all people! After all, together, and united we can solve any problem.  A timely preparation can save millions of lives. As stated in the report “On the Problems and Consequences of Global Climate Change on Earth. Effective Ways to Solve These Problems”:

History has taught us that lack of unification of human society on the spiritual and moral basis and joint actions of people on the planet, continent, and region regarding preparations for large-scale cataclysms and disasters result in the destruction of most of these people. And survivors die of incurable diseases, epidemics, and self-destruction in wars and civil strife in the struggle for means of sustenance. As a rule, disasters appear suddenly, causing chaos and panic. Only advance preparation and unity of the peoples of the world before the impending natural danger gives mankind more chances of survival and the possibility to jointly overcome the difficulties in the era of global climate change on the planet.

The word earthquake is increasingly verbalized on television, on the radio, and is present on the pages of newspapers and magazines. Today, the media inform us about the cases of natural disasters, including earthquakes from the different corners of our planet. All these facts indicate that the process of the global climate change is entering into the active phase. And it requires our timely response and appropriate actions aimed at unification and joint efforts to overcome all the problems.

In order not to panic, it is important to understand the essence of what is happening and know how to act. An earthquake is a severe fluctuation of the Earth’s surface caused by the tectonic processes in the bowels of the Earth. Also, they can be caused by a volcanic activity or landslides of rocks.

The signs of an earthquake can be determined by the external indicators.

Assessment of the earthquake seismic intensity  based on general signs

Scale Condition External signs
1 point not felt is not felt by people; convulsions observed only by devices
2 points very weak felt by people on upper floors of buildings
3 points weak convulsions observed by many people
4 points moderate felt by almost everybody, glass rattles
5 points quite strong swinging chandeliers and so on
6 points strong light damage to buildings, fine cracks in the wall surface
7 points very strong cracks in the walls, chipping wall surface, eaves partial destruction of chimneys
8 points severe drop of eaves, chimneys; wholes in the walls and their partial collapse; people find it difficult to stand on their feet
9 points violent failing walls, and roof ceilings of buildings
10 points destroying destruction of many buildings, cracks in the ground up to 1 m wide
11 points disaster multiple cracks and pits on the surface, large landslides in the mountains
12 points severe disaster significant changes on the ground surface

If you are in an earthquake zone, determine its condition. As a rule, it does not last long, only a few seconds, in case of a very strong earthquake it lasts a minute. These tremors can cause fear, but it is important to remember that in any situation, the main thing is to keep calm. Retaining self-control, a person greatly increases both his or her chances of survival, and of the people around him.

1) If you do everything calmly, you will have more chances to remain unharmed, and thus you will be able to mobilize others who will look at you as an example. If the building or the soil react significantly, and at the same time you are in low-rise buildings (2-3 floors), react immediately, you will have 20-30 seconds. Do not jump out of the window, it can cause injury. Get yourself out and help the people around you to go to an open area, try to stay away from tall buildings and voltage power lines.

2) If you are in a building of more than 3 floors, you will need to find a safe place. Do it yourself and help people who are close to you, to stand in the doorway or climb under a massive table, or stand in inner corner of the room. In no case do not approach windows and external walls, it is likely that they can collapse. Other weaknesses in the high-rise building are the staircase and the elevator. Flights of stairs may collapse.

3) If you are on the street near tall buildings and there is no opportunity to go to an open area, go to the entrance of the house. On the open area, the distance to the nearest tall building must be at least 1/3 of its height.

4) If you are in a car during earthquake, stop away from tall buildings, bridges, and overpasses unhurriedly.

Remember that after the first shock, after some period of time an aftershock occurs; it’s a new shock, a consequence of the arrival of the different seismic waves from the first earthquake. The time of aftershocks appearance ranges from several minutes to several hours or even days. This earth tremor also carries risk.

After the earthquake, help the wounded and provide a first aid. If fire hazards are discovered, take measures for their suppression. Observe the damage. If you find a gas leak or damage to electric wires, which could be a danger to life, eliminate them if possible or guard off the area by any means at hand to inform other people.

In order not to overload the phone lines for calls to the line of special services, please refrain from calling. After all the tensions are passed you can inform your relatives about your safety.
As much as possible, assist army squads, emergency ambulance workers, people involved in the rescue efforts. In such situations, every second count at a cost life. Therefore, unification and mutual collaboration of people help to make most effective measures to rescue people trapped in the goafs.

And, most importantly, remember that only humanity, caring for others, as yourself, will help to come out of any emergency situation, as it is worthy of a human being. Given the impending global cataclysms, people themselves need to begin to change their attitude towards themselves and society here and now. After all, you do not know who you will be tomorrow – a refugee or a host, and what your chances of survival in the given situation will be. In the modern world of global climate change, you cannot vouch for an inch of land as new manifestations of extreme anomalies of nature occur and represent danger even for relatively stable living areas. In other words, no one is immune to all sorts of growing risks, and any of us can become a climate refugee already tomorrow. In this regard, it is extremely important to globally and quickly change the values of society from the consumer format to the spiritual, moral and creative one, where good, humanity, conscience, mutual help, friendship, and the dominance of spiritual and moral foundations would stand in the first place in relationships among people, regardless of their nationality, religion, social status and other conventional and artificial divisions of the world society –  from the Report “On the Problems and Consequences of Global Climate Change on Earth.
